Weird Buton???

Hi my name is Ophylia and i just got my puppy a couple weeks ago.

I noticed today he has sort of a weird looking button on the side of his lip it kind of looks like a zip but the top is hard and i cannot seem to pop it from the button.

so I was wondering if its anything i should worry about because we went to my moms a couple of days ago and she has another dog named Jenny who isn't really fond of other dogs in her house. So thinking my moms dog wanted to play with Gucci (my dog) Jenny almost bit half of her face off - so maybe that can be the reason why she has a weird thing on her lip?

but she has been playing a lot outside in the grass and hiding in sort of not really clean places in the house like the back of the fridge and stuff...

It sounds to me as though your puppy may have hurt/cut/injured her lip, either when fighting with your moms' dog or when playing.

I wouldn't worry about it too much right now, as if the lump is hard and has a scab on top it's probably healing up.

Watch out for signs of infection though, such as swelling, redness, pus etc. If you notice any of those, take her to your veterinarian as it may need treatment.
