what happens to a puppys' baby teeth

I have learned so much from your website - thank you very much.

Do puppies swallow their baby teeth? I've had a couple of dogs and have never seen any teeth that have been lost

Hi
I'm so happy that my website has helped you, that always makes my day!

As for the baby teeth - yes, sometimes a pup swallows them. Othertimes they just drop out on the floor, or when they're chewing a toy etc.

They may come out and be ingested with their food, or get stuck in that interesting stick they're chewing..... it just depends.

These teeth are quite small, especially in tiny or toy breeds, so it's not unusual not to notice them.

Good luck with your pup!
