WHAT I S WRONG WITH MY PITBULL PUPPY?

by ELISHA

MY PITBULL PUPPY IS 3 MONTHS OLD . SHE IS UP TO DATE WITH HER SHOTS. BUT FOR THE PAST WEEK SHE HAS BEEN GONG THROUGH DIFFERENT ILL STAGES OR JUST GETTING INTO THINGS CONSTANTLY.

LAST WEEK SHE STARTED VOMITING AND HAD DIARRHEA AND A COUGH. LIKE SHE MAY HAVE ATE SOMETHING SHE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO. BUT SHE GOT ALL BETTER AFTER 3 DAYS . LAST NIGHT ALL OF A SUDDEN ONE OF HER EYES STARTED TO SWELL UP . I TOOK HER TO THE VET AND HE SAID SHE WAS FINE AND PRESCRIBED SOME EYE DROPS FOR THE SWELLING .

NOW SHE SEEMS TO BE BREATHING HARD AND JUST SITS AND LOOKS AT ME AND IT FEELS LIKE SOMETHING ISN'T RIGH . SHE WON'T COME WHEN YOU CALL HER AND HER MOUTH SEEMS TO HAVE DROOL UNDER HER CHIN.

WHAT DO YOU THINK IT IS?

Hi Elisha
You need to get your pup back to the veterinarian right away. Something is definitely wrong and she needs to be examined and probably get some medication/treatment.

It could be an infection of some sort, it's impossible to say. The fact that she's had all her puppy shots is a good thing, but it doesn't mean that she can't get sick. There are plenty of dog illnesses that you don't vaccinate against.

The fact that she's drooling, not acting like herself and breathing heavily, indicate that she's in pain or distress, and she needs to be seen by a vet right away, so please don't hesitate.

I wish you the best of luck and hope that she makes a full recovery.
