whinning and crying

I have a 4 month old pomeranian when I take her to the pet store or park any where there are people she tends to get very hyper starts to whine and cry wants everyone to pick her up but when they try she gets so hyper that they can't even play with her.

I live alone and I give her a lot of attention. When I take her in our back yard to play with her she is as happy as can be.I do not work so we are always together. She is so cute she gets a lot of attention. Does she have some kind of anxiety issue? Please help me I love her so much.

Niya,
her name is Tekee

Hi Niya
Don't worry, from what you describe your puppy isn't sick or anything like that, she's simply not well socialized as yet and is acting in a perfectly normal over-excited puppy way!

You obviously love her very much and she's a happy pup overall, but when she's out and about with you she gets over anxious and excited. The more exposure she gets to different people, pets, places etc. the better. As she becomes more familiar with being around new people and places she will become more relaxed and confident and less 'whiny' and excitable.

Socializing and training a puppy properly are very important and play a big role in making sure that your adorable little furball grows up to be a happy, friendly and confident adult.

You'll find all the tips and advice on how to socialize Tekee properly on this page ... Socialize Your Puppy and the other relevant articles/pages it links to.

I'd also recommend getting Tekee enrolled in a basic formal obedience class as it will help her learn to respect and obey you, improve bonding, and be a valuable socialization experience in a safe, controlled environment. It also gives you the added bonus of meeting other dog owners, and having access to some 'hands on' advice and help with any behavior issues from a professional dog trainer.

I hope this helps and puts your mind at rest. Tekee looks adorable and I wish you lots of luck with her.
