why is the inside of my 4 week old puppys' mouth white?

Hi Penny
White gums are a sign of anemia and if your pups mouth is white, you need to get him/her to a vet as soon as possible.

It could be a severe infestation of puppy worms, or a heart/circulatory problem, or other illness/disease.

If your pup is also lethargic, seems to be having difficulty breathing, or seems unwell in any way then it could well be an emergency situation.

Please have this checked out by your vet asap. I wish you the best of luck and hope your pup is doing much better soon.
