why does my newborn puppies have crust on their paws?

i notice a few days ago they have crust on their paws.

at first i thought it was fecal matter until i went into the light and seen that it is blistery crust on the paw pads and on the nails.

what could this be? Can it be treated?

This is a situation where you need a veterinarian to examine your puppies so that a correct diagnosis can be made.

There are a few different possibilities for these symptoms including infection (such as a staph infection), impetigo, allergies, conditions which may affect the momma dog etc. etc.

I'm afraid only a vet can tell you exactly what is causing it. Luckily most conditions like this are easily treated, often with antibiotics or other topical medications. Get them to your vet asap and they should be recovering nicely soon.
