Why has my staffy pup got thin hair on her head and behind ears also around her bottom and back legs??

She is 4 months old her hair is thinning on her head, ears and backs of legs. Is this normal?? If i lift her tail up to check her bottom i can see it's red around the rim and at the base of the tail, she does smell at bit.

Generally nothing bothers her,, she is not scratching or making herself bleed, there are no red patches anywhere apart from her anus and a few spots around her mini, not sure what they are?? please help!

You need to have a veterinarian take a look at your pup as there are a few possible causes for hair loss like this and only a vet can make an accurate diagnosis.

It could be Mange, or Ringworm, or a yeast infection... I'm afraid there's no way for me to tell.

Whatever it is it won't get better without treatment - the RIGHT treatment - and to figure out what that is your vet will need to examine her and maybe take a simple skin scraping.

Treatment for these conditions is usually very straightforward and the sooner you get a diagnosis the sooner she can get better (and the earlier something is diagnosed the quicker the recovery).
