Yorkie puppy size at birth???

How much do Yorkie puppies usually weigh at birth?

What is the range of weight for most puppies?

Will eventual size be related to size at birth?

Hi
Yorkshire Terriers come in quite a range of sizes, and I can't be very specific in answering your questions I'm afraid.

Generally you can expect a Yorkie pup to weigh somewhere between 2 and 5oz at birth. Maturing to somewhere between 3 and 7lbs when adult.

The size of a puppy at birth is not necessarily representative of the size of that pup as an adult. Sometimes the smallest puppy overtakes it's siblings as it grows, and can end up being on the top end of the weight range in that litter.

A lot depends on why the puppy was small at birth in the first place. If it's smaller boned, or has health issues it may always be lighter/smaller. But if it was just a bit short on nutrients in the womb, or there were a lot of puppies, these things can be overcome.
